      Aevo Trade Volume Charts (24h)

      What Is Aevo?

Aevo is a high-performance decentralized derivatives exchange platform, focused on options and perpetual contracts. The exchange runs on a custom EVM roll-up that rolls up to Ethereum. Aevo operates an off-chain orderbook with on-chain settlements. This means that once orders are matched, trades get executed and settled with smart contracts.

What Are the Features of Aevo?

      • Off-chain Orderbook and Risk Engine. Aevo operates an off-chain order-book where maker and taker orders are posted and matched. Once a maker and taker order gets matched, only then do they get posted on Aevo's smart contracts, which are deployed on the L2 roll-up.
      • On-chain Settlement. Users' funds and positions remain on-chain at all time, within the Aevo smart contracts.
      • Layer 2 Architecture. Aevo’s smart contracts run on the Aevo Rollup, an EVM-based Ethereum optimistic roll-up.

What Are the Fees of Aevo?

      • Taker fees: 0.05% of the notional
      • Maker fees: 0.03% of the notional

Options fees can never be higher than 12.5% of the options price. For example, if an option is traded at $1 (ETH at $1k), the fee will be $0.125 (instead of $0.3)

      • Settlement Fees. When options expire in the money, there is an exchange of cash between buyers of the option and sellers of the option. Aevo charges a 0.015% settlement fee on the notional of the option that expired in the money. This fee is charged to the holders of the option at expiry.
      • Liquidation Fees. When positions get liquidated, a liquidation fee is charged to the user that gets liquidated. The liquidation fee is 0.2% of the notional.
